ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Diverse, soulful and energetic, Teri combines strong vocal and guitar abilities with soulful storytelling. Her music runs the gamut from rock to country, and jazz to folk. Teri's energy is contagious as she takes you through a journey of love, heartbreak, rebellion, and introspection.

Hoping to follow in her father's footsteps, Teri started playing guitar at the age of 6, and began writing songs at 8. She has performed both with bands and as a solo act ever since.

During her childhood she was primarily exposed to her father's favorite jazz artists including Chet Atkins, and Earl Klugh, as well as the Mexican music of her mother's heritage. Combined with her interest in a diverse array of songwriters/musicians, she developed into a songwriter capable of various musical styles and perspectives.

Teri views her songwriting as a gift more than a talent. "When I write a song it all comes out at once. It's like a lightening bolt hits me and everything is done in about 30 minutes. I have very little control over it." But, listening, you can hear the impact of life experiences through her songs, and there's no question - her life is as distinct as her music.
