Upon it's release, CRUEL, Terran's debut record, was considered by many critics to be one of the best albums released in 1997, establishing her as one of the most original and inspirational singer/songwriters to come out in years. 'Cruel' was produced by Jennifer and co-produced on some songs by Julie Last (Joni Mitchell, Ricki Lee Jones, John Lennon).
