He stands 6-foot-5-inches, natural good looks, with a rare gift. Although his background may be common to many; rout with challenges, insurmountable odds and riddled with inexplicable incidences, he is living an uncommon life. All due to the benefits of his extraordinary gifts, unmitigated competency and tenacious ambition.

Terrell Carter has more to his credit than most have within the life of an entire career. After being noticed while singing at church in Detroit, gospel great Fred Hammond auditioned him and seamlessly Carter found himself working with Hammond and later with a host of others. His classic sensibility and non-formulaic approach can be attributed to years of absorbing the irreplaceable soul in the music passed down to him through the gospel music of the church he attended with his mother and grandmother in his native home town on the east side of Buffalo, New York. His drive and confidence were born from his desire to rise above the despair that surrounded him on the often-unkind streets of east Buffalo.

The strength and unwavering integrity of his musical talent are obvious in his strong vocal performances that are touched by classic R&B rhythms and laced with the truth often apparent in Gospel soul. His vocal range, skilled writing and vocal arranging capabilities, as well as, his passion for the creation of rich soul music have won not only praises from some of the heaviest names in the industry, but also, many request from some of today's living legends.

Terrell's voice has accompanied artists such as Whitney Houston, Faith Evans, Kelly Price and Carl Thomas and famed drummer Sheila E. . He has toured with Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, and Yolanda Adams - some of todays most widely acclaimed gospel singers. His diverse style and keen instinct lead him to contribute with artist like Quincy Jones, Tamia, Oleta Adams, Deborah Cox, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Simply Red, P. Diddy, Tevin Campbell, and KC & JoJo. Currently, he is leaving his mark in the theater, acting in Tyler Perry's hit, Madea's Class Reunion and Meet the Browns.

He expresses his words like no other artists that I have heard before. His tribute to his mother is absolutely beautiful. He also states what he has gone through in his own life and what he is honouring is his mother and his brother and others that he has brought into his life and they themselves are giving so much to him as he gives so much to them in return. For he shows who he is a gentleman in this world we live in. He truly gives himself to others and they give themselves to him.

    This was the first CD of T.C.'s that I listened to after I saw him in Madea's Class Reunion and bought his CD's the very next day. The entire CD is cool but I listen to the first four the most. 'Let's Dance' is my jam! I had that on repeat just last Friday at work, having my own little party in my cubicle. If Terrell keeps doing his thing like this, he's going to be around for a very long time.

    I heard a few of the songs on the CD and I liked them, but due to the profanity in some of the songs I would not purchase the CD. I think you have a very smooth voice and you did an excellent job in your performances on the Class Reunion and The Brown's especially when you were agonizing with your wife to take you back after having an affair. After that singing and pleading I too would have taken you back. This really showed your talent in song more than ever. Remember where your gift came from "the Lord" and do all things to glorify him you already have the gift in song you don't have to curse to have a awesome CD. Keep up the good work brother, looking forward to seeing more of you in Madea's plays.

    I can honestly say that this is one of the better CD's I have purchased lately. You have a wide range of music for many moods but each song brings something to the album. I'm a person big on lyrics and beat and you are strong in both areas. I love when I can feel an album and anytime you can listen to a song like "Everything" and feel like you’re going through a divorce but you’re not even married yet...that's feeling it. Amazing job!

I can't get into the song if I can't even understand the words. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all kinds of music. When it's negative I don't listen. This is such a powerful CD & I love it. I'm quite proud of the inroads that you've made (Perfecting Church with Adrian Smith, Fred Hammond, Tyler Perry's Madea, and now your own CD). Brothas like you, Eric Reed, Steve Jordan (Stevie J), and RheMario Weber have done fantastic jobs and I'm glad to say that I know you all. When I saw the "Meet the Browns" DVD and heard Brown tell you to say 'I'm sorrrrrrrrrrrrray' it caused me to remember the days of when we were in the youth choir at Mt. Ararat and again at the University at Buffalo. I remembered when I first heard you sing when we were at Mt. Ararat Bapt. Church, I told you then that you'ld make it. It's a shame that others didn't offer you the opportunity at that time because of their own selfish motives. What I have to say is this: Always keep it real and most of all keep the LORD first.
