Album Notes

"Turn the Page" is the 3rd solo release for singer/songwriter, Terri Jo Dodson. Terri Jo has also recorded with the trio, Baby Needs Shoes and the band, Jazz Factory as well as being utilized as a harmony vocalist on many other artist's recordings.

This latest release of all original songs by Terri Jo is on the Nebraska label, Prairie Dog Music. wwww.prairiedogmusic.com. "Turn the Page" is collection of songs which give light to Terri Jo's evolving guitar abilities, lyrical moods, and growth in songwriting strength. Terri Jo plays guitar & sings on all tracks and adds her own flute playing to three of the tunes. In addition to singing most of her own harmony tracks, she also takes advantage of the smooth vocals from her teenage son, Nick Dahlquist and fellow songwriter, DeAnn Allison a they provide some of the harmony tracks.

Other musicians included on this collection include Daryl White on trumpet (www.darylwhite.com), Terrence Keefe on fiddle, Jim Pipher on bass, and Prairie Dog Music founder, Dr. John Walker on guitar.

Terri Jo has been performing for audiences since childhood as part of a sister group, the Dodson Sisters. They recorded their first record in Denver, CO when Terri Jo was just 14 years old. During her college years at the University of Nebraska, Terri Jo started performing folk music in the style of Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez. Fronting many bands over the years,including country, folk, rock, blues, and new age generes, Terri Jo has stayed in the spotlight as a sought after singer. Her soft and alluring vocals have won her the recognition of regional audiences and other well known musicians.

Having won songwriting competitions including Walnut Valley New Songs amoung others, Terri Jo also instructs workshops in songwriting as she tours in the midwest. Having taken 6 years off from touring in 2001 to 2007 to open and operate her own coffee house, Terri Jo is kicking off a new touring schedule with the release of her newest CD.

Terri Jo currently performs as a soloist, as lead singer in a rock/blues band called, Dubious Brothers & Sister Red, as part of the a cappella trio, Baby Needs Shoes (www.babyneedsshoestrio.com) and the acclaimed Nebraska band, Jazz Factory.
