Album Notes

According to the debut album from Terror Town High, controversy can be funny. Even downright hilarious! On this album, TTH sheds humour on controversial subjects like pre-marital sex, suicidal tendencies and the alleged causes of insomnia.

Controversy Can Be Funny, however, can be serious at times. "1,2,3,4" bashes the idea of being a working-class tool your whole life. "Get A Life" urges the main character of the song to stop wallowing in their self-pity. "Romeo's Downfall" sounds like a serious punk ballad.

Still, the art of being funny prevails. "Sex Song" asks the profound question, "How can I concentrate when I'm horny?" The song "Ego" states that someone's conceitedness might be contagious, and that's a bad thing! "New Year's Eve" ridicules the process of preparing for another year.

Packed with ridiculous antics and infectious hooks, Controversy Can Be Funny is one of the most enjoyable underground punk albums of the year.
