Album Notes

TERRY LOWER (pianist/composer)
After studying piano and composition at Berklee School of Music in Boston , Terry returned to the Midwest and has been performing and/or recording both here and abroad with the likes of Benny Golson, Frank Morgan, Hendrik Muerkins, Eddie Daniels, Kevin Mahagony, Bobby Watson, David "Fathead" Newman and Larry Nozero to name a few. Also a prolific writer, Terry's compositions have been recorded on numerous CD's including his own 2005 release, "Step By Step" featuring some of his own compositions and arrangements for trio, quartet and septet with straight ahead tunes, latin jazz & bebop.
Terry's sextet on this "Step By Step" album stunned the audiences at their first appearance on stage at the 2006 "DETROIT INTERNATIONAL" and "THE MICHIGAN JAZZ" festivals.
Terry will also be touring Italy in October and November, 2006.
