The first CD by Terry Ray Thomas titled “Still Finding My Way” consists of 12 original songs written by Terry Ray Thomas. This is modern country with an old school feel and just a touch of bluegrass.
The musicianship and quality of this project is top notch. I owe a great deal of gratitude to Jeannine O'Neal who produced the CD and played a multitude of instruments on it. Jeannine is a true musician and has worked with a very impressive list of performers. Along with her husband Gradie O'Neal they create a relaxing environment to work and a professional team comparable to any studio.
The awe-inspiring Scott Joss does the fiddle work. Aside from winning the California State Men's Fiddle contest three consecutive years, and working with Dwight Yoakam for fifteen years; Scott's first major gig was with Merle Haggard and the Strangers at Carnegie Hall. Is there a word more powerful than amazing for Scott's talents?
Steel guitar fans will be pleased to know that Bobby Black handles all of the steel and Dobro work. Bobby's resume includes the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame, playing the Grand Ole Opry numerous times at both Opryland and the Ryman Auditorium; and for several years a member of Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen. His work on “Still Finding My Way” is nothing less than incredible.
Any major piano work was handled by Tom Tomasello. Tom is a phenomenal keyboard player and musician out of the San Jose, CA area. Check out his work on “My Baby Drives My Pickup”. The banjo work was handled by Jeff Scroggins. Jeff is a national banjo champion and an incredible banjo player presently in the Corrales, NM area. You should never pass up an opportunity to see Jeff live and meet him in person. Alex Gonzales, from San Jose, CA, plays the accordion. Alex will astound you with his work on this CD and helps capture the TexMex/banda feel on “That’s Not the Way”. Last, but by far not least, Joe Ferrante provides some background vocal work. “Big Joe” is a mountain of a man with a fabulous deep voice. Thanks Joe, thanks to all the musicians and players, thank you to all who made this CD possible, and thank you for listening to my music.

Finding My Way
author: Charlotte Davis
This music is incredible. It was particularly exciting to hear because 50 years ago, in the hills of Eastern Kentucky, Terry was a little boy whose sister was my best friend, which we remain today. It was thrilling to visit in their home, and it will be thrilling to hear more from Terry. I will be waiting!!!

Both my husband and I are enjoying listening to Terry's lyrics AND music. I'm glad I bought an extra one to send to my sister and her husband in ND--they'll love it, too! We keep it in the car, so we can enjoy hearing Terry every day...!
