Terry “Toonz” Reynolds is a degreed electrical engineer, a former Navy sonar technician and a talented guitarist with 45 years experience in playing Gospel, R&B, Blues and Jazz. The artist’s travels to nearly every corner of the U.S. and Europe has inspired his all terrain musical style. From funk to fusion and everything in between TERRY TOONZ: COAST TO COAST seamlessly blends an eclectic musical diversity keeping one thing consistent throughout… the heart of his music, which is joyful to the core. Delightfully grooving from one cool original to the next, the recording begins with “Fritata,” an intriguingly smooth opener with a Latin flair. Stand out tracks on this exciting musical offering include the hooky and fun Smooth Jazz blast “Gee Bees” featuring the trumpet work of Mitch Manker, the reflective and rich “Mourning Morning,” the clever and catchy “Podunk Funk,” the sweet ballad “Carol Ann’s Song,” written by Terry for his wife… hands down the prettiest, most lyrical track of the bunch, and a tribute to his current residence, the loungey and energetic “San Diego Streetz.” Terry’s definitely on a roll with TERRY TOONZ: COAST TO COAST. Better make that a ‘jelly roll,’ as he says, “I would like my music to stick in peoples’ minds like an upside down jelly sandwich. I want to make people smile, tap their toes and whistle melody lines long after they first play the tracks.” We say to go ahead and put a DONE stamp on it Terry; mission accomplished!
