The Guitarist Steve Terwilliger
" Terwilliger is an accomplished solo guitarist adept at classical, jazz, blues and rock styles." - Battle Creek Enquirer
This new Christmas CD was a project that has been long overdue. I have played many of these arrangements live, but never got around to recording them. After many, many requests, I have finally produced what I feel is one of my best recordings yet of Christmas music.
I have been playing the guitar for over 30 years and been in many groups/bands all over the United States. I have performed solo on the East Coast, West Coast and throughout the Midwest. I have recorded a number of CD's through the years as well as recorded for a number of other bands and artists.
A Christmas in the Sierras is a wonderful example of the wide variety of styles capable on the guitar. Ranges of styles include the first track "Angels We Have Heard on High", primarily Classical to a more Jazz sound like the "White Christmas" or " Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" to a more rock-influenced "I Wonder as I Wander" and "Carol of the Bells" with a little metalish sound. Probably one of the more unusual sounds from the guitar is the E-Bow guitar version of "Lo How Er' Rose Tis Bloomin'" The E-Bow is an electronic device which synthetically vibrates the guitar strings indefinitely.
A "Must Have" CD, I invite you to listen to the clips and see what you think.
Thank You for your support of independent Artists!!!!
Merry Christmas!!
