A wonderful album with delightful music, brilliantly and sensitively arranged by an obviously very gifted composer and musician. Some pieces are stimulating, others romantic or even melancholy – and all of them are worth listening to again and again. This CD is perfect not only for those loving Latin Jazz but for everybody who appreciates good music and charming melodies. One of my favourite albums this summer - and certainly this winter as well!

Mesmerizing!

This is an amazing album that keeps you listening — no, hanging — from one track to the next. The songs are all well written, tastefully arranged and masterfully performed. But even more than that, you can hear the care and love that was put into this album by everyone involved with it. Can't stop listening to it.

It's not hard to love this album from Japanese jazz bassist Tetsuro Aratama. Take a group of talented Japanese jazz musicians, give them a bunch of bossa nova and other latin jazz to play, then enlist vocalists who sing English, Japanese, and Portuguese. It's a charming mix of cultures that's engaging and diverse from track to track. From the harmonica and cello of the romantic ballad "Far Away Love" to the wide array of percussive devices and handclaps on the soprano sax-centric "Caro Y Gaby" to the simplicity of dual nylon string guitars and delicate female vocals on "Dacqui Do Norte" these songs are engaging from beginning to end.
