ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Red Laforme has been playing guitar since the tender age of 17 when he was sneaking into bars attending open jam sessions to show his talent and garner experience. He started his first band in '98, a driving blues trio. Since then he has played numerous shows with the Blues House Hustlers circuiting the Toronto blues scene in places such as Canada's Wonderland, Toronto Skydome and numerous blues bars throughout the city. He has also travelled the US festival scene where he shared the stage with legendary musicians like Lucky Peterson, Willy Big Eyes and Eddy King just to name a few. In Canada, he has toured all over Southern Ontario sharing the stage with Mel Brown & Miss Angel, Robbie Antone & Douglas Watson. In 2003 he started a new band called Texas Meltdown, a rock n blues band with a southern Texan style with influences from the south. In April 2008, they released their freshman CD titled "Feel the Heat" for which they won "BEST BLUES ALBUM" at the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards in November 2008.
