The Texas Tech Trombone Choir has been in existence for over 30 years. The rich sounds of this ensemble are known worldwide.
The Choir has performed at the annual Carol of Lights Ceremony for several years and has become a mainstay of the event. The music on “Carol of Lights, Texas Tech Trombone Style” represents many of the favorites heard at this traditional outdoor concert, where thousands of people celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season and witness the brilliant lighting of the Christmas Lights campus wide! It is a spectacular visual as well as sonic event!
You will enjoy listening to the carols and spectacular fanfares that make this event and the Texas Tech Trombone Choir so special!

Great sound!

Renown trombonist James Decker has shaped the young trombonists of Texas Tech into a beautiful sounding unit. Few musical ensembles are as stirring as a trombone choir. This CD of a trombone choir performing a repertoire of holiday favorites will stir the spirits of any trombone fan, as well as a general listener looking for holiday music well played. I wish the best of luck to Professor Decker for continued success and for that of his excellent group of student performers.
