Album Notes

Hindsight Sunglasses is the first official release by Textual, the side project of multi-instrumentalist David LeBleu. This release came about after a tour in Japan with David's band The Mercury Program. The Mercury Program released a record on Tigerstyle records in 2002 called 'A Data Learn The Language' and this record was licensed by Stiff Slack Records in Japan, in which the tour was in support of. After the tour Stiff Slack agreed to release a record by Textual, and Hindsight Sunglasses is the result. Much of the material written for HS involves samples and field recordings from the tour in Japan, as well as David's own blend of melodies and sounds recorded and sampled from his own instruments. The music is often constantly evolving from hypnotic loops and sound washes to glitchy clicks and clacks of electronic drum sequences.
