Toothfairy is an experimental psych rock band from New York and "Hard Drugs Made Me a Better Person" is their 2nd full length release. Limited edition of only 1000 copies, the CD comes packaged in a cover that strongly resembles a 70's nickel bag of pot. Have no fear, the green leafy material is only spices from the dollar store.

Musically, it all began when Jim Gibson from Toothfairy was given a few educational records from the 60's about drugs. The ones that had the slide show and the "beeep" to tell the AV person when to advance the slide. It was clear that modern music needed to played along with these programs, and the result is "Hard Drugs Made Me a Better Person." The 3 tracks are long (2 clocking in at over 15 minutes and the 3rd just shy of 13 minutes long), one is dominated by acid wah soaked guitar, while the second track is a mix of rock and ethereal sounds, which leads the way for the last track which is pure electronic psych to the max. The album has been getting rave reviews and raves from Toothfairy fans. Get this before it is selling on Ebay for $50...
