Tammy Fletcher is Mountain Girl features the original songs and powerful voice of Tammy Fletcher. On this disc Tammy is backed up by an all-star band of Vermont musicians featuring dobro/steel wiz Jim Pitman, Dakota Foley on Mandolin, Stacy Starkweather on Bass, Bob Hill on Acoustic Guitar, and Simon Plumpton on Drums. Tammy has won numerous awards including Talent Night at the Apollo, the honor of singing the National Anthem at Fenway Park, and being acnowledged along with Grace Potter as the best female singer in Vermont by the Vermont arts magazine Seven Days’ annual poll.
Tammy’s voice has an amazing range: she is capable of delivering powerful Aretha and Janis style vocals as well as more subtle K. D. Lang or Alison Krauss stylings. Vermont musician Trey Anastasio calls Tammy one of his favorite singers, and invited her to perform on stage with Phish. Check out the songs and enjoy!
