Album Notes

The Great Garage Band Reunion is a unique collection of old friends who’s paths in life have crossed for the second time in close to 40 years.

Back in the early sixties there was a time when live music was the standard. High school dances were the showcases for all the local bands and it seemed that every street had at least one \"garage band.\" That’s how this group of talented musicians got their start 40 years ago.

The original group was formed in 1964 as \"The Continentals.” Decked out in red blazers, white ascots, white pants, and black Beatle boots, the band won area talent shows, appeared on Boston television (WBZ 4), and toured throughout Connecticut as the road band for New Haven TV 8 personality \"Admiral Jack.”

In 1965, the second life of the band came about with a name change to \"The Rogues.” This group played locally on Mass., Conn., and R.I. UNTIL 1966 when college and Vietnam took us away.

Now its 40 years later and four of the original band members are back together along with nine other friends to bring back classic rock and roll from the sixties and early seventies (and more). There may not be a lot of hair on stage, but there’s a whole lotta heart and soul.
In addition to our efforts to give back to the community by helping to support numerous charitable causes, The Great Garage Band Reunion also strives to encourage younger musicians to utilize their musical gifts by offering them an opportunity to showcase their talents in a unique performance environment.
