Thomas Goldschmidt, Violin
Born in Freiburg/Breisgau into a musicians family he began playing the violin at age four. His teachers were Sandor Zöldy, Wolfgang Marschner, Josef Gingold, Tadeusz Wronski and Nathan Milstein. He debuted with Bamberg Symphony Orchestra under Eugen Jochum and London Philharmonic Orchestra. He was duo partner of Wilhelm Kempff and was soloist with many important orchestras and conductors, like Berlin, Wien, Zürich, Mailand, Amsterdam, and international festivals. Besides severals radio recordings he has produced Discs with workd of J.S.Bach, Corelli, Beethoven and Bartók. His repertoire contains all types of solo literature and chamber music. He won the Mendelssohn and Paganini-prize and since 1979 is professor at the academy of Würzburg.
Norman Shetler
Pianist, Lied accompanist, Marionet player
Born in Pennsylvania/USA he has studied in Vienna and settled there. As accompanist of Lied singers he got an international reputation, working together with Brigitte Faßbaender, Ingeborg Hallstein, Margret Price, Anneliese Rothenberger, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Peter Schreier, Hermann Prey, Nathan Milstein, Heinrich Schiff, the Juilliard String Quartett and other musicians.
He recorded in all european countries, the USSR, the USA, Japan and China for TV and record companies more than 50 records.
More than that he played with his special musical marionettes in many places, festivals and in TV. 1983 to 1992 he was professor at the Würzburg academy, then he followed the call to Vienna academy.
