Album Notes

This album contains mostly original songs from the upstate New York based TrueGrass. Sincere gospel-grass with a combination of instrumentals (Salt Creek and Dobro Sunshine), traditional gospel (He Hideth My Soul, I Am a Pilgrim, Soul of Man) and a variety of songs written by members of the Ashdown family. Album also includes a previously unreleased recording of the bluesy "Real Friend in Jesus" recorded in 1977 by Wayne and Bonnie Ashdown.
