THE CONTRACT DISPUTES ARE OVER AND FINALLY, THA 12 has arrived!!! The feverishly awaited debut album from Lock 'em Down artist THA 12, marks his first venture into the realm of solo artist. THA 12 is most noted for his performances on the 1999 Lock 'em Down Records Compilation (also available on CD Baby) and on the nationally released Down South Ballin' Vol. 1 and 2. The 24 year old performer steps away from the shadows to emerge as one of Memphis' most talented artists blazing every track with aggression and percision. THA 12, a member of the Lock 'em Down Orginization was born and raised in the alienated portion of Memphis known as: "North Memphis, TN".

This portion of the city is notorious for having it's own laws. THA 12 depicts vividly the trials of the North Memphis TN native, giving a voice to those seldom heared. Surreptus Populus is a 15 song set of original material including the hit single: "It Ain't Nothing" which has been in the top 10 most downloaded song list since July 2001 with over 1516 downloads and a 9.25 rating out of a possible 10 by listeners at www.memphisrap.com. Produced by the PHATBEATS production Duo Rated-X & Tha S.o.S as well as Archie "Baldhead" Mitchell son of famed Blues singer Willie Mitchell. THA 12 is joined by former 3-6 Mafia member GANGSTA BLAC who features on a track titled:TENNESSEE THOUSANAIRES as well as DA KREEP new signee to GANGSTA BOO's newly founded label.

Also label mates: 3MK, Mr.Gripp, Memphis Raynes, A.o.D and THA S.o.S and Rated-X lend their lyrical talents as well.
