Thaddeus Rex grew up wanting to be a magician, a ninja, and a dinosaur. But, taught these were impossible things, he read books, enjoyed music and went to college like everyone else.
At University, Thaddeus began practicing guitar and studying martial arts. He stopped gazing at his distant dreams, started walking toward them and became Merlin, a Samurai... He became T-REX, entered an entertainment career everyone had called impossible and went on to join Indiana's Emmy Award winning PBS Kids show, 'The Friday Zone'.
He recently left PBS to write, record and perform full time. His debut CD, called "a sincere celebration of reading" by the Los Angeles Times, won the prestigious NAPPA HONORS AWARD and CMWA's BEST SONG OF THE YEAR 2004 (kids 8-12 category).
Realizing the role books played in his development, Thaddeus's passion is getting kids excited about the fun of reading and the power of imagination.
