From Fred Mitchim in Austin, Texas….: this is the limited edition final pressing of the 2003 release from my tribute band “ The Tommy Hall Schedule “. Approved by the original existing members of the 13th Floor Elevators this includes songs from all three original studio albums. .THS deciphered and reconstructed their best material and attached extended psychedelic jams to several of the tunes. Using the same instrumentation, including electric jug, we have attempted to emulate not imitate the now legendary excitement of these long ago performances. If you are not familiar with the songs of the Elevators then prepare to enter a realm where the music becomes a vehicle for the most illuminated lyrics ever written. The overall effect of their songs is pure psychedelia. With the help of old school electric guitar techniques and modern recording tools THS has created a porthole where you may enter this mind expanding astral plane of music from the past. If you were around during the late sixties you will be returned…if you weren’t…this is your ticket.
