Although this is Jamie's debut solo project she is not new to the music craft. She has been singing and recording in various venues and concerts since she was very young, including the usual festivals, weddings, churches, choirs, bands, ensembles and competitions ... many times winning at national level. At the age of 12 she was the featured soloist, for "God in Heaven," a children's worship album on a Word Music label. Jamie also commanded the stage in a live performance with confidence and poise for an excited audience of over 5000 people for Word Music, as they recorded the musical for video production.
Jamie's target audience may have changed, but her gift for taking the stage with grace and presence hasn't. Her talent, love for harmony and engaging way makes her sought out, not only for recording sessions, but live venues. She has shared the stage with various artist. You will often hear her singing b.g.v's at Texas concerts, for Greg Long, who has teamed up with her for a duet, "Only by His Grace" on Choices.
While Jamie's love for music is evident, the real story is her love for young people, and her desire to deliver the message that it's ok to say no to destructive behavior and say yes to what you really believe. As Assistant director of Passion to Abstain Inc., a non profit organization that delivers a positive message to youth, Jamie teaches teens the importance of guarding their hearts, goals and dreams. She teaches parents the importance of communicating with their teens in a thoughtful affirming way. "Kids listen to their parent's advice more than they show. It's such a thrill when parents and teens share an excitement for this message!"

Thank you for igniting my own and my 2 teenagers passion to abstain" said a single mom in a hand written letter after obtaining a copy of Choices, sent to her by request of her father, an inmate in the Ellis One Unit, Huntsville TX.
A young teen boy remarked, "I really love the music and vocals on the CD! I took time to really read the words and message on it and I've decided to make a stand to be different than my friends, just like Jamie did." He stated that, "I've never known anyone who was strong enough to take a stand like that."
