The music on this album just a sensational outpouring of Lloyd Thayer's very big heart.  He plays great dobro, sings heartfelt songs with a voice just made for the blues - listen to his rendition of Bod Dylan's Desolation Row to see what I mean. Dobromeister-bluesman Lloyd Thayer is very cool and his new Big Heart CD is fantastic.  I got to listen to this awesome CD on a solo eight-hour drive through the Berkshire mountains. Volume up, crankin’, repeatin’ tracks, listenin’, Oh, man.  If you like dobro, you’ll love Big Heart.  But Dobro’mazing Lloyd Thayer also scribes some wicked lyrics.  Like all good songs, they keep getting better the more you listen and absorb.  Flood me, Lloyd.  I’m only hours into this CD, but here are some lyrical highlights of my current favorites.
#4 - Concrete Island:	“Someday we’ll be shining all together, On that shore across the sea, I hope to meet you there my friend, Where we’re all wide awake and free.”  
#6 – Flat World:  (where words and Dobro match perfectly)  “And why did jesus never mention, If he knew the earth was round, And how am I to know the reasons, For this sadness we have found. So what about the flat world? Everyone believed in that then, It’s kind of funny looking back now.”  (Excellent vocal accompaniment by Boston folk music star Lisa Bastoni – also #10.)
#12 – Desolation Row (Bob Dylan):  This is the BEST interpretation of Desolation Row I’ve ever heard!  Can’t get enough of this one.
#10 – Whole Heart:  “Let your big heart set you free, From all the things you think you know, Let your big heart take you, Where your small mind won’t go.”
 -- I can live by that.  Push that Add to Cart button and start listening to some great music. Your mind will thank you.  Highly recommended.

lloyd Thayer has graced us yet again with a wonderful release of dobro laced blues. The listener can hear the base of traditional blues in Big Heart, but lloyd takes it even a step further. He expands on the traditional blues by personalizing each cut in a way that only an artist with a truly "Big Heart" can. The addition of Lisa Bastoni's background vocals on "Flat World" and "Whole Heart" add a touch that cannot be surpassed. This is one CD not to be missed...Highly recommended!!!
