Album Notes

ANNOUNCEMENT 2009: This release is OUT OF PRINT. Stay tuned for a re-release with bonus tracks.

This is Angry New Age. Or maybe New Age Noise. Or New Age Punk. Or possibly Zebra. However you want to classify this album, it begins with gentle, almost ambient, sounds, then slowly unravels to reveal the artist's anger underneath.

This is experimental electronic music from an artist just beginning to find his voice. Over the course of 2004 he developed that voice into a more refined version of the music here. This is where Brilliance In Action's 2004 Cycle begins, from the mind of an angry young man to you.

REVIEWS

Good experimental from an independant artist.

I was glad to support a fellow Chicagoan buy purchasing this CD. January seems to be part of an ongoing project to capture the feel of each month. In that respect, the artist does a great job. The feel of this CD is very much (to me) like the feel of a long gray sunday afternoon in January, when it begins to get dark at 4:00 in the afternoon. Kind of a bleak and desolate feeling. Parts of this disc reminded me very much Coil ala "Queens of the Cirulating Libraries" or "Time Machines", while other parts are less drone and more noise. Overall this CD is an interesting listen and worth a purchase if you support experimental music.
