Album Notes
‘Gimme Some Love’ - Recorded in a barn in Upstate, NY in one day and produced by Jeb Puryear of Donna the Buffalo...

“We were craving the vintage sound of the records we grew up on, so we headed over to Donna the Buffalo’s studio in New York and set up to track live. ‘Gimme some Love’ was about half way written and we wrote the rest as we burned through about seventeen takes”, says lead singer and guitarist Cynthia Frazzini.

“We had no idea we would be making a 45 RPM 7” single and that this would become the A side or, as we ended up calling it, ‘The New York Side.’

The B side, or rather ‘The Nashville Side’ was cut the same way - live to 2” tape in Nashville and features members of Buddy Miller and Emmylou Harris’ bands. The result was the blistering blues rocking soul of ‘Let It Be What It Is’ - a true anthem for our troubled partisan times.

Both tracks were mixed and mastered by Ray Kennedy (Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, Delbert McClinton, and many more) for optimum sonic quality and toughness and are available on CD, digital download and 7” vinyl.
