Album Notes

Do you like your funk raw, dirty and a little dark? From the sweat drenched clubs of Philadelphia comes the Blue Method --- a band with so much bottom-end they actually blew their own speakers while previewing their latest 2007 release, “Kill The Music Vol. 2”.

The band’s sophomore effort, “Kill The Music Vol. 2”, bumps and grinds through dark alleyways and dimly lit nightclubs with a touch of gospel, immense horns and the paramount funk that made their first release the #1 downloaded album in the funk category at Garageband.com.

Songs like the sweltering “Get Back Home” feature trembling vocals over swirling 60’s inspired synthesizer and window shattering bass that’s so funky you can’t help but kick out the seat you’re sittin’ in. The more pop-oriented “Other Family” is sweet and smooth with a catchy kicker you find yourself singing while stuck in traffic or in the line at the grocery store. Whatever song takes you in for the day, it’s undeniable that the Blue Method sound could be the soundtrack for the mood you’re in.

Blazing trails on the east coast the Blue Method has gained major headway in a relatively short time. Their undeniable strength in both the studio and live setting has music authorities of all types awaiting their new release, available for it’s first taste at the World Café Live on June 7th.

And... Don’t worry; you can turn the volume up.

U got hit by the SChram bug

You guys got hit by the SChram bug. Dan SChram is the serial band killer. The guy is ultratalented and ultra stubborn. He played with my band about 2 years before you guys had him. Great player, great ears, bad temper, and a band killer.

MOre work in the studio. That is obvious. Production is really good. The songs are not. The first CD was a good start. This is the sophmore slump. Next album will probably be better. Sorry guys, serious drop off from the first disc. I still love you guys though. I spent may nights at Zeno's and have never been dissapointed.

THis was good. THe first album was better. THis album is better produced and stylistically more suitable for todays market. The first album was straight from the 70's.A couple songs on volume 1 had blue method standing on the verge of being an innovator. However, volume 2 is real good. ITs tough sometimes to duplicate a great thing.
