Album Notes

With a musical style that defies most labels, but is best described as "swinging blues," this debut effort from The Bluescasters consists of 13 songs, ten of which are original compositions.

Likened to a "musical road trip," the songs on Five Dimes reflect the various regional styles of Detroit, Chicago, Memphis, New Orleans and Texas. Always entertaining, The Bluescasters use unique arrangements, diverse musical backgrounds and vocal harmony to distinguish themselves from other blues bands. The melodies are infectious and the lyrics are intriguing and thoughtful. This is a fine first effort from this Ann Arbor, Michigan area band.

Great mix of rock & blues
author: Rita Wygonik
I was introduced to this CD by Ron Balicki; the tunes are a great mix of good ol' blues with a kick of rock and roll. I actually bought the CD to give as a gift; I'll just have to get another. I'm going to keep this one!
