Album Notes
Lead by drummer Joe Geary, the Blues Jumpers emerged as one of the leading jump-blues bands from the east coast- taking the American swing scene revival by storm. "Wheels Start Turning" was the first release by this crtically acclaimed 6 piece band that featured singer Eldridge Taylor who the LA Times said had a "grabbing, vital voice that echoes jump-blues heroes such as big Joe Turner and Louis Jordan.” The band helped pave the way for the Broadway musical Swing! and toured extensively before releasing two addtional albums "Swingin Holiday" featuring Eldridge Taylor and "Livin' Like a King" featuring singer Haywood Gregory.
