ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Bollands are a foot-stomping, hand-clapping duo with way too much time on their hands. This is their debut album.

Joyce and Christian come from pretty different backgrounds. Joyce is from Malaysia and moved to New Zealand when she was a little nipper. Growing up she was bombarded with music, jamming classics on her pink piano and busting crazy moves in dance class. Christian spent his early years in a house truck travelling the North Island of New Zealand with a bunch of dirty singing hippies. That mash of backgrounds makes The Bolland sound.

They play foot stomping goodness with lots of la-da-das so every drunk in the bar can sing-a-long too. They love it all. The singing, the stomping, the laughing and the chit chat. They have played in all sorts of places throughout New Zealand and Asia, and in front of every kind of crowd. From pizza shop rooftops in Taiwan to outdoor music festivals in New Zealand, and dirty the streets in India. Every experience has a story, and has inspired them to keep jamming.
