The Citations are more of a family than a band. Since the first night that we got together in December of 2008 we have become the brothers that we never had. Playing together show after show has become a great time of family, friends and is always fun.
We would like to thank God for allowing us to live life and experience the Blues.
To our families, we can not say enough. You have supported us throughout the years and you truly are our inspiration. We love you and hope that you enjoy our efforts.
To our friends, thank you for coming out and sticking by usall these years. You are the ones that make it all worthwhile. We look forward to seeing you all again soon! And to all the great Bluesmen whose music inspired us, may your music live forever.

“You Can’t Outrun The Blues” is actually a concept album created over a tall glass of a frothy beverage while recording the basic tracks.
The story goes something like this:
Our hapless troubador sets out "Rollin" Down That Highway" (Life/Faith/A Journey). Finds his woman, "My Baby" (New Love). Sings about their meeting and their life, 'Sweet Senorita". Our boy figures out that his princess is more of a "Mean Woman" than the sweet senorita. Life starts to get a bit sideways for them, and they both end up "In A Funk" . Soon it gets bad for them, and the world around, as they fall on "Tough Times", but still have some hope. Our boy decides to lay it out on the table, telling his lady "What It Is". Rather than pay attention to his needs, our girl hits the bottle and does some "Grape Stompin' instead of taking care of biz. Our boy decides to split and does some partyin', which causes him to ask the age-old question, "Why Get Up?". He does some things he aint too proud of, including finding himself asking some lady to help him get out of a tight situation, while realizing she set him up. He finds his "One Way Out" and gets the hell outa Dodge, watching over his shoulder for trouble. He starts to realize that no matter what you do, or where you go, "You Can't Outrun The Blues". Instead of crushing our young man, he sees the joy in life, the possibilities on the open road and says goodbye to the past and, expressing his feelings to his ex, "Another Highway Song" is born. Even though he has figured some of it out, he still has to make his stand, acknowledge the state of things and while travelin' "So Many Miles" tells her goodbye. And yet, he still feels optimistic and, finally, comfortable with who and what he is.
I believe he's still out there on tour........
