Album Notes
Pat Douglas creates his unique and eclectic music under the name The Cries Of. The Cries Of began in late 2006 with the release of his first record entitled “Just Another Nobody”. This self release helped to jump start an extensive tour of the Southeast where Pat was able to showcase his unique songwriting abilities and build a loyal fan base following. In 2007, Branch Records released “The Sparrow.” This was the second, yet first full length project for The Cries Of. “The Sparrow” encompassed a unique blend of multiple genres and exemplified a lot of Pat’s musical talents. January 2009 will mark the highly anticipated release of his third album entitled “Hide and Seek for Six.” Earmarked the most remarkable release from The Cries of to date, Pat has finally found his niche. “Hide and Seek for Six” is a wonderful combination of his love for the experimental mixed with his honest and approachable form of songwriting. Pat’s unprecedented style comes from a variety of different influences ranging from classic rock to current indie, metal to electronica, yet is primarily rooted in quality acoustic folk melodies.
