ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Melancholy is a brooding guitar solo in a blues-rock vein. The chord changes remind me of Vanessa Williams Dreamin, and I had sounds from Pink Floyd in mind for the pads and intro. The Jeff Beck album, Blow by Blow, was always one of my favorites and I tried to catch the Mood from his version of Stevie Wonder's "Because We Ended as Lovers". The guitar playing is not overly technical, but more melodic and emotional.
As always, my references to influences do not in any way imply that I think I am on a level with these great artists. Well, Vanessa Williams in more of a pop singer/model/actress/ celebrity than a musical artist.
The drums provided some challenges on this, as did the mastering.
Enjoy
