Album Notes

It seems I'm always in the right place at the right time and do the wrong thing. I feel out of place a lot of the time. I often think this is someone else's world and I am just visiting for a little while. A couple of the lines: "stopping at the gate" refers to sometimes giving up just at the finish line. "sellin all the gifts" If music really is a gift, I'm trying to sell it!

This tune features Jaden Angel Carter on the background vocals. Mando recorded her.
The voice on this one sounds similar to Michael Franks or Mose Allison.

Some Production notes: I was having trouble with the correlation meter going towreds -1 a lot. I narrowed the culprit down to the
ESX24 Bass Instrument I was using. I couldn't find a way to make the output mono, and when I bounced to a mono audio file, the sound was not what I wanted, so I made a mono aux track and used that as the output for the bass track.
The sax solo section was originally recorded using an EWI, then transcribed for the alto sax and layered with some sounds from my Triton Rack and Logic Instruments.
I used the Tascam TA-1VP on the lead vocals and alto sax.
Instruments used. Logic Pro, MacBook Pro, Triton Rack, Selmer Reference 54 Alto Sax, Neumann TLM 102 Mic Tascam TA-1VP Vocal Processor, Logic and IK Multimedia Tracks Plug ins, Akai EWI. The Backing vocals were recorded in ProTools.
