With SWITZERLAND YOUR LIGHT IS ON, The Dino Haak Collective is again staying true to their unique style and mission of creating the unusual. Like every DHC album, SWITZERLAND YOUR LIGHT IS ON has its own vision and conceptual script. S.Y.L.I.O can be seen as the band’s tough and gritty "American" album. It is heavy, it is dark, and in true DHC tradition, ever so focused on the groove. SWITZERLAND YOUR LIGHT IS ON comes with a healthy dose of controlled anger along with the usual tongue-in-cheek humor the band is known for. On board with Dino Haak this time are Troy Glessner on guitars, Sean Siner on drums with guest musicians Marino Corriea (Hammond organ) and Phil Peterson (cello, trumpet).



DINO HAAK
German artist Dino Haak is best known for his work on the Mobius Megatar, a twelve-string touch-style instrument of the samefamily as the Chapman Stick, played by the likes of Trey Gunn and Tony Levin. Haak is known for his groove-heavy, idiosyncraticsongwriting. The sound of the Megatar adds a powerful and eerily symphonic element to the overall feel. Dino Haak’s legalmove to the US from Germany was supported by American musicians such as Trey Gunn (King Crimson), Don Schiff (Pat Benatar,Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow), Greg Howard (Dave Matthews Band), Emmett Chapman (Inventor of the Chapman Stick) and others,who helped him to be awarded an Exceptional Artist Visa in 1999 and to finally choose the Northwest as his full-time place ofresidence since 2000.
