ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Doughboys knock another one out of the park with their new single Yo Yo, the Joe South song popularized by (believe it or not) The Osmond Brothers back in ’71. The Doughboys take the song in a completely new direction, turning The Osmonds’ pop ditty into an exhilarating garage rock/Motown-inspired rave-up!

They’ve done this before – their rockin’ cover of Route 66 and inspired rendition of The Moody Blues’ chestnut Tuesday Afternoon received widespread airplay and downloads.

The Doughboys are fresh off the worldwide acclaim accorded their third studio effort Shakin’ Our Souls, which Little Steven Van Zandt proclaimed his favorite album of 2012. It produced a “Coolest Song In The World” on the Sirius/XM Underground Garage channel, It’s A Crying Shame, with the entire disc receiving heavy rotation.

The Doughboys are back in the studio, working on their next album, while also contributing their inimitable rock’n’roll chops to Life Out Loud, the new Bongo Boy Records release by Paul Revere & The Raiders frontman, Mark Lindsay.
