Big Top Tent

by The Dreamtree Shakers

Ripe with original tunes that explore the action behind and before what you’d expect to find at the circus, the lyrical turns will delight you as much as the music itself.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Chicago-based family band, The Dreamtree Shakers, are excited to announce the upcoming release of their 3rd album, Big Top Tent! Following on the heels of their sophomore effort, Going on a Picnic, which spent weeks on CD Baby's Topseller list and reached great popularity with libraries nationwide, Big Top Tent is here. Recorded at Grammy-nominated Joyride Studios in Chicago, with the inimitable Brian Leach, you can expect a polished and intricate sound that remains playful.
As with past albums under this moniker, lead singer/songwriter Jeremy Babcock harks on his time writing folk/pop tunes ‘for adults’ and never talks down to the children, both young and old, he hopes to reach. Ripe with original tunes that explore the action behind and before what you’d expect to find at the circus, the lyrical turns will delight you as much as the music itself. The band is in full force, with instrumentation that includes bass, guitar, drums, saxophone, flute, harmony vocals, and more!
Call it poppy folk, folky pop, or indie alt country americana, Jeremy Babcock and gang lay down some righteous, jangly tunes, the kind of airy, loping rock and roll that America and Neil Young were so good at.
