The Dubious Brothers began and ended far too soon. Their career spanned 1986 to 1990. They were the Martin Peters of their generation. Ten years ahead of their time or was it eighty years behind? Tangoes, foxtrots and waltzes were set to up-to-date swipes at polite society. Their song titles said it all "What a Lovely Day For A Hunt Sabotage", "South America Welcomes The Nazis" "Your Wernher Von Braun (And I Claim My Five Pounds", "An Englishman's Home Is His Toilet" and who can forget "The Dog Ate My Poll Tax Form". The live act consisted of dancing surgeons, an undertaker, an RAF percussionist, a quick change artist and a Desert Rat sitting on top of a bicycle with vertical wheels that span in opposite directions and an umbrella that went up and down. It was a Dalinian Heath Robinson Victorian palace of peculiarities of a show: Strictly come slam dancing. Enjoy.

And now 19 years after they split up the "best of"album is availabledue to popular demand of fans complaining that they can't afford the £100 that the long since deleted vinyl is fetching on ebay.
