This live album captures Nyree and Michael in concert--the energy, the warmth, and the humor. The album highlights 3 previously unreleased tracks; "Hymn" (recorded live in studio), "Perfect", and a killer cover of Suzanne Vega's "Tom Diner"/Ani DiFranco's "Every Tool Is A Weapon". All songs (except track 8) were co-written and performed by Nyree and Michael Halaas.
"the girl & i" (Nyree Belleville and Michael Halaas), released three albums between 1995 and 1999 and played hundreds of shows--opening for Jewel, CSN, Santana, the Laura Love Band, and Dar Williams. "the girl & i" sound is powerful and unique. Between the two of them, with just their acoustic guitars and some hand percussion, Nyree and Michael won over thousands of fans.
