The Great Escape have the capabilities to be mellow, psychedelic, fuzzy stonerish and everything in between. They represent to me, together with Colour Haze, the top of the German Stoner/Psychedelic scene. The Great Escape provide solid stoner rock. Songs unfold on their own time, never rushed. Nothing Happens Without a Dream is also a well laid out album. There’s a definite flow to how the music unfolds, one that fits its theme. Fans of Kyuss should give this a shot.
