Born in a basement somewhere in Paris, the Groovers kick the fuzz into a groove that's all their own. With a nod to the Velvets, maybe the Jesus and Mary Chain, the guys lay down a beat that has the kids on the Continent stomping. A cunning mix of tuneful indie pop, Suicide-type drone organ, garage guitars (the sleeve note checks The Scientists), and trad sixties rock 'n' roll. Fans of the long lost Dominic Sonic and cult French rockers Dum Dum Boys will feel right at home. There are a couple of home runs in amongst the better than average rock 'n' roll.
