A label drawn on the album’s characters, Born Too Late could just as easily be applied to its creators. Combining rambunctious Who-esque power with a touch of Neil Young fuzz and blistering solos that would do Jimi proud, this is a debut E.P. only by name. The Invisible Swordsmen have spent years performing in the Northeast and perfecting their brand of raw, aggressive rock.
Born Too Late tells the tale of people down but not out. The overbearing sense of despair they share is championed by a communal resolve - like many a great story it takes you to the edge to remind you that it’s always the darkest before the dawn.
