Not your usual kirtan artist. The Jais are a band. Their roots are in devotion, nourished by rock n' roll and the unwavering desire for peace. Sometimes they make a loud noise, sometimes a whisper. Sometimes polished, sometimes raw. Force driven to immerse themselves in the cosmic song of music, they lead kirtan (call and response singing of Holy Sanskrit mantras) and churn out a poignant power ballad (Harmanina) with an equal longing to merge with the infinite.
This debut release shows the love and devotion of the Jivamukti Yoga Charleston community the band was spawned out of and is sure to enrapture you in it's infectious, jubilant, and haunting rhythms.
