Motorik cruises the highways of time and experience-- an audio parallel to Keith Walsh's sculpture (pictured on Motorik's back cover) and collage art. A vast range of inspirations inform the songs in Motorik, ranging from the psychedelia of Syd Barret-era Pink Floyd, Meat Puppets, and The Seventh Suns, the vocal lyricism of Captain Beefheart, and the full-speed-ahead charge of Black Flag and the Swell Maps. Motorik was recorded during the summer of 2011 at the legendary Catasonic Studio by Mark Wheaton.
