Album Notes

The Norfolk Southern Lawmen have been strumming and singing country music since the late 1950s, when Southern Railway assembled a group of employee musicians from the railroad's Police department to entertain at company functions. Although some of today's fourth-generation Lawmen were NS police officers, its members are now full-time singers and musicians who represent Norfolk Southern at employee, customer and state police functions across the NS System. The Lawmen act as Norfolk Southern's goodwill ambassadors.

The Lawmen perform at Norfolk Southern's Brosnan Forest in Dorchester, South Carolina for corporate meetings from October to April and travel steadily from May through September entertaining thousands. Besides delighting crowds with their own special blend of music, the Lawmen use these public appearances to enhance customer and public awareness of Norfolk Southern, The Thoroughbred of Transportaion.
