Die Bastards is the debut album of the Lincoln County Historical Society. It was made in three days, in a garage in North Platte, Nebraska, recorded on a camcorder, played on cheap instruments, by musicians mostly unskilled in playing them. The sound is heavy, noisy, intellectual rock with thoughtful lyrics; guitar feedback elevated to art form.

This is a concept album and the concept is this: It doesn't take talent to create art. There is enough art in the natural world that none needs to come from within you. The true art, in this case, is in recognizing beauty where it exists, and in having the wherewithal to express it using whatever imperfect means are available.

Die Bastards was our Please Please Me. Enjoy it, because it can never be like this again.
