Come Let Us Adore Him is a carefully curated collection of Christmas carols, hymns, and spirituals from gospel-folk collective The Lower Lights. It’s The Lower Lights’ folk-inflected take on some Christmas hymns and standards, a couple of classic English carols, a Celtic carol, and an old spiritual. And of course it comes with the band’s calling card: a rotating horde of musicians with plenty of harmonies, guitars, banjos, mandolins, piano, pump organ, fiddle, handclaps, and– this time around– bells, jingle and otherwise. It’s The Lower Lights’ little way of trying to make the season just a little bit brighter.
