Thanks for visiting the McKenzie Brothers CD Baby web page!

For those of you who don't know us we are a quirky little band from the Moore County,N.C. area. We are a 'mostly' cover band that offers something just a bit different. In our shows we pay tribute in large part to the likes of John Prine, N.C. favorites Southern Culture on the Skids, Junior Brown, Jimmy Buffet, Elvis and John Hiatt as well as lots of other bands. We also write our own stuff too. We are proud to present our new album "Live & Learn". The first c.d. written, arranged, performed, recorded and produced entirely by the McKenzie Brothers!
We are self described as eclectic hillbilly. A little deeper look shows a magnetic blend of country, rock, folk, blues and some boogie added for extra flavor. Robbie McKenzie, our front man and acoustic/rhythm guitarist, is known to spin a yarn or two. He plays with a passion and sings like a bird and will also keep you in stitches all night long. Steve McKenzie is the lead guitarist and sings as well. He also puts a lot of passion and energy into his performance. The essence of the group's sound lies in the vocal and musical chemistry between the brothers and is enhanced by a very solid rhythm section. Add in some funny stories, a few sound effects, some wigs, a lot of dancing and a few surprises and you've got a recipe for an evening of live entertainment you won't soon forget!! Check us out soon. You'll know what it means to experience a "background drunks revival"! We sure hope you'll be glad you did!
