Writing music since he learned how to play guitar as a teenager, Mike Palmer has endeavored to communicate through heaven inspired lyrics. However; he grew up wanting to hide and never even thought of becoming a musician and performing.

Mike grew up in a big house in St. Paul, MN remodeled by his dad, who taught him the art of remodeling, something God used to instill His restoration purposes. He remembers spending hours in that house growing up, playing with an old reel to reel tape recorder, and hearing his voice on it he was sure there would never be a career in music. He notes “It’s funny how God works, I sang soprano with the girls in high school choir and hated singing, I despised the gift I now love and share with a passion.”

After spending years writing and leading worship at his home church Living Hope Christian Center in Pine City, he has grown to expect God’s purpose to be fulfilled regardless of the past.

Now as the lead singer and pianist with his newly formed pop/rock band “The Melodious”, originally as a father/son duo in 2004, he is able to share his pearls.

With “The Melodious” and the his first CD, titled “Thru Your Eyes”, Mike and his son Justin joined with musician friends and vocalists to begin playing at a popular Christian club called Club 3 Degrees in the band tournament.

Mike believes that if God give’s you a beautiful voice, it’s for the people who are going to listen; not for your personal glory.

With his latest CD, “Rock Me The Way”, Mike is working with some younger energetic talent to develop a kind of 70’s retro PROCK (Pop/Rock) style, that is enjoyable, soul searching and inspiring to listen to.
