Inspired...

This music is instant. Being a Stranglers fan I chanced upon this and was not disappointed. There are more than one (less than subtle) nods to the Men in Black, and they're really cool. The influences don't stop there and don't matter as The nonfiction do have their own identity and sound like they're enjoying themselves and that makes it all the more fun and infectious. Funky grindy bass, Tight percussion, Choppy punky funky guitar, wicked harmonica, a sprinkling of synth/keys and effects/samples. Funky, Punky inspired and inspirational.

Decent enough rock style tunes. I was kind of expecting more of a garage punk feel, even after listening to the samples... still good stuff if standard rock n roll is what you are looking for!
