Michael Visceglia is one of New York's most in demand bass players. He is best known as long-time collaborator and musical director for SUZANNE VEGA. Fiona McBain is a singer from Australia who is best known as the singer and guitar player from NYC roots band OLLABELLE.
In February 2006 Mike asked Fiona if she would like to experiment with a crazy idea he had for a musical project with just 4 string electric bass and voice.
He started arranging some of their favourite songs and "Then There Were Two" began. Mike thought it'd be good to make a recording of what was happening so he asked award-winning engineer Rob Friedman to record the project at his NYC studio.
It's done! And it's available here. Hope you enjoy it!

SWEET VOICE & LOW NOTES TOGETHER
author: Sergio Mattoso - BRAZIL
Another interesting combination between bass and voice. If this particular CD doesn`t sound jazzy just like some others, it is still very pleasant to hear. Mike Visceglia makes wonderful hamornies in his eletric bass and Fiona McBain has a sweet voices wich reminds me at times Susanne Vega. A smooth CD to hear and even better to share with someone special.

Another interesting combination between bass and voice. If this particular CD doesn`t sound jazzy just like some others available at CD BABY, it is still very pleasant to be aprecciated anyway. Mike Visceglia makes wonderful hamornies in his eletric bass and Fiona McBain has a sweet voice, wich reminds at times, Susanne Vega. A smooth CD to hear and even better to share with someone special.

Simply awesome!

A bass guitar, perfectly played by Michael Visceglia, and the impressive lovely voice of Fiona McBain - that's all that was needed to produce this marvelous album. Then There Were Two created something really unique with their project. Hopefully, there will be a follow-up! I also saw their show in The Living Room on Youtube. It just feels so much better to actually see them "living" every note of the perfect choice of songs!
